Born and raised in Southern California, Kelly, a people-person, returned home during summers from law school in Oregon to work as a Certified Clerk for the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office of Children’s Counsel where she represented infants, children, and teens who had been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect.  There, Kelly developed her passion and commitment to helping families.  To that end, Kelly dedicates her practice to family law and adoption.

Working as an associate attorney at law firms for seven years Kelly developed her foundation of legal knowledge and litigation experience.  Kelly started her own practice to better serve her clients; being a solo-practitioner she is able to dedicate the time needed to work one-on-one with each client to minimize the clients' stress associated with the legal process, and maximize their ability to happily and confidently move forward with the next chapter in their lives.

Kelly does not see her case-load as simply filled with files and legal needs, but rather, as actual people with lives that she can help to improve through the legal process.  Kelly understands the highly-complex emotions people involved in family law matters face, and in response, prides herself on her skill for ensuring clients are at ease in her care, without reducing her professionalism or compromising her dedication to zealously providing honest, straightforward legal advice.

In her years of practice, Kelly continually hears the same complaint from clients regarding their former attorneys:  clients did not understand what was going on, or why the attorney was performing certain work.  Kelly takes this complaint to heart; in response, she ensures that clients are intimately involved in their own cases, making certain that each person understands the process and fully agrees with the course of action.
